As fellow students at the Luchino Visconti Civic School, where we graduated together, we begin a new professional adventure.

The film deals with the theme of integration starting with the meeting of main religious communities in Milan. Faith is still a fundamental element that has driven all of these people to a new dimension of life. The differences beetwen them are lost with the story proceeding and the religious dimension is the first element to keep them united.

“Like yourself” tells some stories of encounter between believers from different countries within the diocese of Milan. The different experiences express different degrees of this process of knowledge and coexistence.

L'ONDA LUNGA BY SIMONE PIZZI

The film unfolds through the story and observation of the difficulties faced by ordinary people (workers and students) and joins the testimonies of some people who have been at the forefront in organizing a concrete response to the needs of these citizens. The interviews alternate with moments of observation of reality by letting the viewer enter the intimacy of the protagonists of the film, allowing him to partially relive something that, albeit in different ways and forms, unfortunately we have all experienced.
